FATAL ERROR DD3d30 help (Windows xp professional service pack 3) GTA IV patch 1.0.6.0

    Hello all. I have just bought a new computer recently and i installed GTA IV. I Then went to play it and it loaded then flickered and said "GTA IV FATAL ERROR DD3D30 please re-boot system. After a number of tries i have attempted to do the following and none worked:


    -Change screen resolution
    -Change Colour (32 bit and 16 bit)
    -Re install GTA IV
    -Make sure my system is fully updated

    I don't know if this is the right place to ask but i really want to play the amazing mod Police Pursuit smile.gif

    (I have also had windows 7 and it worked okay but it had a slight lag even when changing graphics)
    (I wanted XP on my machine so i installed, updated and now the above)

    Any help appreciated smile.gif

    EDIT: Problem solved. i had to install graphic card. Thanks

      This seems an error in your directx9 or graphics card.
      What graphics card do you have?
